Hi, my first post! Hope someone can help me.

I really like the look of these, but the horse size ones look huge. Would they be too big for a 14.2 to reach into (all the way down to the bottom), or would a pony size one be a better bet?

Thanks for any help.

I have just got a haybar for my 14.2hh pony and was thinking the same as you. I went for the horse one and it's fine. It also depends what sort of horse you have, i.e short neck or long.

They really don't look as hugh once they are fitted to the corner of the stable!!! Think the top edge of mine if about 35" from the ground, can measure it Friday if that helps, sorry can't do before, but working 12hrs shifts till then

). You probably don't need the large one (which holds a whole bale of hay), but it depends on how much hay/haylage you feed. I'm sure you love it, save soooo much time.

I bought haybars for my lot last winter and they have been brilliant. I bought a pony size one for our 14.1 (who looks very pony-like) and a horse size one for Tilly who is about 14.2 or 14.3. I put an upturned bucket in the bottom of Tilly's as she can't quite reach to the bottom and this has worked out fine. If I was you, I would get the horse size one and do the same if your gee-gee can't quite reach. Make sure you position them an inch or so off the floor, so that you can sweep out easily.

i really wanted on of these but have no where to put it in my stable as they have to go in the corner dont they? shes got the door in one corder her automatic drinking bowl in the other her built in feed manger in an other, and the other corner is at the back of the stable so her bed would end up in it so i could brush it out if that makes sence
