I'm planning on getting a family friend a portrait of their horse done up for christmas, either pencil or painted. I know there are a lot of really really good equine artists on HHO and elsewhere and i guessed you guys would know which direction to point me in.
I don't want a little tidly one done, but then again im not going for a massive one either. What kind of prices are usual for commissioned peices?
Also do i ask for past pieces of their work to look at quality and accuracy?
