Pony pts this morning

First of all I want to thank everyone who replied to my earlier posts in relation to my old pony with liver failure.
Last night I made the decision to have him pts in the morning.
The decision was made easier because he couldn't manage his beautiful brand new way... the greenest nicest hay 've ever seen!.... He was still eating feed and apples and carrots but I knew it was only a matter of time before he struggled with this too...... I don't think he has suffered at all because his only symptom was his weight loss and I'm fortunate enough to have been able to spend most of my time with him.....spoiling him rotten I may add!!
I will miss him sorely but I don't have any bad memories in the 15 years I had him...... all good ones and I can truly say I think he was a happy boy....

I lost a very dear horse in 2001, he wasn't even mine but I loved his like he was, and I miss him still terribly. xxx

Im so sorry. You did the right thing though. I wouldnt want any horse to go on as long as my poor Charisma did. I would call it a day much earlier if I had to make a decision again.
