hello,
have a bateson deauville trailer with a flat tyre.
where is the best place to place the jack !
is it feasable to pull the good tyre on to a spacer
leaving the flat tyre hanging and avoiding the use
of a jack !

Yes it is, there are plastic jobbies sold for this very purpose, we used to have one permanently in the front of our ifor Williams.

If only I could remember what they are called.
