Pony trap race on main road

Just seen on lunchtime news, two pony and trap combos being driven down a main road, facing the heavy traffic in Ireland! Two guesses as to who the owners are ! Wouldnt stop for a police car. But if anyone want to sell me one of the ponies I will buy as driven through heav ytraffic, with massive lorries and didnt flinch. Total idiots though putting themselves and other road users at danger of being killed. Hope they get the book thrown at them, but not holding my breath

it was doing the rounds on FB the other day. Horrific and not only are the ponies on the wrong side of the road half the time, but so is the traffic.
The vehicles were ridiculously close to the trap at times as well

Happens in England, too, but here they tend to use vans to hold back the traffic.

Nothing will be done, noone will be prosecuted. Police just want to stay well out as they cant cope with the hassle/evasiveness of the perpetrators. Of course if you or I did the same thing....book thrown at us.
