Our 17 year old 14h pony got tests for recurrent lameness and x-rays show she's got a bone cyst and arthritis at the elbow which is apparently a rare place to have this type of issue. The vet is keen to inject steriods although he admits it's more likely it woun't work than it will - but we feel we owe her that opportunity as she's had a good career as a dressage competition level pony, then the last three years with us where she's had a quieter life doing hacks and pony club. Does anyone have any experience of elbow arthritis as there's nothing much on the internet? Thanks.
