My sister had her pony scoped for ulcers as he was showing some symptoms, the scope was clear the vet said he had the healthiest stomach they had scoped. They did a biopsy of his bowel and it came back with IBS.
The pony is currently fed simple systems beet and balancer but he won't eat more than a couple of oinches of the balancer. The vet has told her to feed a probiotic (not prebiotic) and psyllium.
Can anyone recommend anything to feed that isn't a powder to mix in his feed as he won't eat powders in his feed?
The vet has said he needs extra probiotic than beet alone can provide?
Any advice on a good diet for IBS for a pony that won't have separate powders mixed in feeds such as minerals etc.
