pony with lung cancer (help)

Do you think small children (under 10yrs old) should ONLY ride in a simple snaffle?

Don't understand why you have a poll

As for your horse, am very sorry to hear she is in sucj a bad way, but maybe having her PTS is the kindest thing for her even though it will be the hardest for you? You need to follow your vets advice.

second Weezy, you will have to follow your vets advice, or get the opinion of a second vet if you think he could be wrong. It must be very difficult for you but you must do what is best for the horse.

Chloe, don't understand why you have put a poll to choose your name, which we know is Chloe?????????????

As for your pony, if you love her very much then you must do what is best for her and have her PTS if your vet thinks this is the kindest thing.

I am sorry to hear this, but if the vet is certain of his diagnosis, and your pony's health is starting to suffer, having her put to sleep is the kindest thing to do. It is hard, it is the worst thing you ever have to do as a horse owner, but as her owner you have the responsibility to ensure that she doesn't suffer.

I'm not entirely sure what your question is or why there is a poll but I think as everyone else has said that you should follow your vets advice. By all means get a second opinion but if the cancer is compromising your horses comfort and quality of life the only thing you can do is have her PTS.

I know this will be tough but in situations like this one you need to think about what is best for your horse and if you love her as much as you say you wouldn't want her to suffer unnecessarily.

thank-you for reading my post, but i really want to know what i should do, she is in no certain pain, at moment and i really dont want to hvae to put her down but i no that is better for her, sorry about the poll

The best course of action you can take is for you, your parents and vet to have a full and frank discussion on your ponies condition, and go from there.

Ultimately the pony will have to be put to sleep. As a responsible and caring owner it is for you to decide at what point this should be done to prevent your pony suffering in any way.
