Has anyone had experience with horses with two microchips?
My pony suddenly seems to have two identities! But I only have one passport for the most recent microchip. I have found his previous identity on NED online and contacted the previous passport agency but they are telling me I need to jump through hoops to get a duplicate of their passport. This would be fairly easy if he had the same name in both passports but he doesn't. The passport I have also has all his flu vaccs recorded and shows his registered eventing name. If I get a duplicate of the old passport then I have to do a name change also as well as trying to get flu vaccs transferred. It all seems a bit of a nightmare. My vet recommends that she scans him and records the duplicate microchip in his current passport and signs it.
Strangely the other microchip hasn't been found on the two previous times he has been scanned when in my ownership.
Any advice or anyone with a similar experience?
