Pony's drinking water spiked with caustic soda, owner burned!!!!

I'm afraid I would want to know more about the woman before I could believe all that story. She didn't knew how heavy a standard black bucket of water was? She managed to splash it in her own face? And why the link between a burglary and this incident, why should the theft of a saddle be related in any way to trying to poison a pony?? Very, very odd.

My thoughts too, it doesn't add up
 
The bucket doesn't appear to have a handle so maybe she was dragging it or carrying it and it splashed up. The story comes up on my facebook page and looks genuine. I am not sure I would automatically think someone had tampered with the water if I found stuff in it, particularly in a youngster's stable. Poor woman.

I have also managed to completely soak myself carrying a bucket of water despite doing it day in day out for 40+ years :redface3:
