Poo!! Have just seen the weather forecast for Burghley.....

So looks like sitting around in the sunshine drinking Pimms is out

!! For Thursday they didn't even give a temperature - just said you will need a coat because of the wind.....

Pimm's in waterproofs it is then! My friend is coming over from Bermuda for it, don't think she's gona be too impressed when I phone her later and tell her to remember her waterproofs!

oh no, drats. i might have to rethink my strategies then! just pray they don't use mouldy old straw on the muddy patches in the tradestands this year, last year the smell by Sunday was absolutely vile!

It will be the same

- I'm only 7 miles from there!! They will have the sprinklers on as it has been so dry here the ground is like concrete. The weather is due to change on Wednesday and its the tail end of a hurricane coming through.......

Don't panic they have trouble forecasting the weather for next day, before you know it they will be saying it's going to be glorious....................fingers crossed!

Oh no, i really hope its not correct

last year the mud was awful, i remember there being a downward slope towards a skinny towards one of the waters and horses were just sliding down it- and i felt so bad for the tradestands selling cashmere scarves etc, they just got trailed on the muddy floor and stepped on!
