Or is that too many to be able to manage really?

We are currently managing to poo pick for 7.... which takes me roughly 40mins per 24hours ?

It is always possible just depends how much time you have. I wouldn’t want to do it but then i wouldn’t want to poo pick after 7 and you are managing that.

I would get one of those machines with the big hose that sucks it all up.

We poo pick for 12 out 24/7 and do it twice a day... hard work but I cant stand poo in the fields and I wouldnt want to eat off a dirty plate lol. We have had up to 15 and did do it twice a day then, our field is sectioned though so that really helps, if it wasnt I would probably try and harrow it.

if you have time to do it i would want to put if you dont have enough time i would split the field and rotate to give you chance to harrow!

we poo pick for 8 and at this time of year the field is ever expanding so it takes longer between trips to the muck heap!! there are 5 owners to the 8 horses and we basically aim to do a wheelbarrow each at whatever time of day we get there. i'm usually the first one there and can clear the field with 2 barrows if i hve the time and if its been done last thing the eve before. depends on your take on poo picking. i actually quite enjoy it. warms u up on a chilly morning and works out those arm and stomach muscles! we do stop in nov to may tho, as they are in a huge field over winter and it gets harrowed every 6 weeks by farm owner.

we have 12 at our yard, my YO does it every day ( as both mine are on full livery in the week during termtime) and at the weekends we all get together and do it as a group - a poo party if you will ( that's how we convince our kids to help, with my friends 3 year old son as 'captain poo" the poo spotter) It actually ends up being fun! we don't use wheelbarrows though, we hook a big trailer onto my friends 4x4 and do it that way - its the barrows that kill my back.

At the moment we have 7 out in the hay field which we (mostly me!) have been poo picking so can keep the other fields rested, they've been out there since not long after they hay was cut in July....

Thats Saracen, Monty, Blue, Saf, Madd, Meg, Tanya

The extra 2 are Merlin and Magic (who are in a different field as Merlin has not be cut yet

)

However they are staying out there until the clocks change now, and its getting too dark too early in the evenings for me to poo pick so i think it will possbily get left now
