Hi
My horse is real messy in the stable . We have used every bedding that is on the market.
Her poop breaks into tiny pieces on impact all the time . Any tips or advice on what to feed to give it some stability . Just to help with the mucking out .

does it break up because it is very dry??

If that's the case you could try increasing the amount of wet feed i.e. soaked sugarbeet etc.

Is she mainly stabled or is she at grass during the day? I know that during the really bad weather when there was no sign of the grass through the snow and all my mares were eating was hay and dry feeds it made mucking out a total nightmare, really dry poops that disintergrated into their beds.

She has been stabled , in for one month . But she has always been the same . So dirty . Her poop has always broken into at least a hundred pieces . I dampen down her feed and she has natural yogurt to help with the digestion process . Cod liver oil . Was thinking maybe of increasing her oil intake . As she has salt licks and every toy imaginable to stop her from being bored as not to trash it even more than what she does. She is on auboise at the moment but it is proving far to expensive to keep her on it . My other horses are fine on Auboise and the poop is a dream to pick .

sounds like she is a bit of a walker and stirrer! buy a good fork! fynalite do a good range not the cheapest(but save loads on bedding) but do the sieving job well! otherwise get the gloves on and nugget pick

I have 3 differant shaving forks .lol . Tried and tested . If they were nugguts it wouldnt be so bad . But they are more like shavings . Have even thought about maybe a rather large sieve but then I would have to give up work and spend the day in her stable.
