Just spoke to the vets, Barney had his bits off ok but his dental ended in removal of three teeth, the poor boy is only 2-3 years old :( I'm wondering if thats why he has been so reluctant to eat his dry food, can't imagine what crap he must have been fed in his short life to do such damage.... all my previous dogs have had superb teeth till the day they died, they always had a carrot at bedtime so will be persuading him to do the same.

Anyway, hopefully the castration will help a bit with his barking, fingers crossed he is still talking to me when I pick him up!!!

poor boy! :( when i got Betty spayed last year she had a tooth taken out, and she's only three. she had broken a lower molar in half and sheared half off! she never had any bother with eating or showed any pain- i only knew because i saw a brown tooth when she yawned! Bulldogs!

hope your boy is feeling better soon! ;)

xx
