My horse had a panic in the trailer last night and has taken most of the hair around his face off- he is very sore and feeling very sorry for himself. Have just had the vet out to check him out, he had a very nasty bump on top of head and wanted to check soundness etc, he is going to have at least 10 days off as he also caught his withers. Anyway can anyone recommend a cream or something that is gentle and aids hair growth (bearing in mind it is around his eyes also) I am currently bathing the oozy areas with warm water and applying sudo cream to the better patches any other ideas? He looks like hes had a fight with a bear and the bear won.

You could also try coconut oil as it's supposed to speed up and promote hair regrowth.

Hope he's feeling better soon!

He is very sore and sorry for himself, I am a bit gutted because we were going to start doing workers this month, deperate to stop them drying up as some of the bad bits are on creases (withers) and I don't want them to crack open and get worse!
Will try your suggestions many thanks
