Tawny had a bad day out shooting yesterday. The fence had been left on by a release pen and she got zapped as she retrieved a runner. I had to go and catch it as understandably she wasn't going near it again.
She was then very clingy and down but did pick up a couple of easy dead birds at the end of the drive.
Next drive she went for a runner in the open but was a bit hesitant and he got her with his spurs. After that she would only pick dead birds for the last drive, I don't blame her at all but do hope it was just a temporary loss of confidence, she is normally so bullish.

Poor Tawny, as you say hopefully it will be easily forgotten.
All my dogs except the current one got zapped enough they realised what delivered thw blow and avoided fences. I nearly lost my last lurcher when she first got zapped though as she bolted and ended up at the local pub!

I do hope so. She is my partner in crime.
Laughed at your dog running to the pub! Maybe she thought a beer would help.

Clever girl, I like the way she thinks :)

An update - Tawny worked like a trooper today and hunted like a demon. The only difference was she would not go far into the woods on her own, which hopefully she will slowly overcome.
