Poor Freddie got frightened today

What happened was.... we had the trainer in to give us a few pointers on lunging him, he had a complete meltdown and went into panic mode, think he had some kind of flashback from his start..ropes etc, he galloped to the gate, couldn't stop, slid then leapt and landed in a heap on top of it, broke it into about 6 pieces and the post too! Poor boy, feel like we let him down to be honest, should have made sure everything was done a lot quieter around him as we know him. Anyway it ended up with a good session and not leaving him too far and he relaxed... something to work on for a few weeks, going to take baby baby steps with him X
