It does say Trader.

It's like that grey the other day that Silver_Florin rang about but the advert was removed he had two other horses for sale as well

didnt look sorry . Unfortunatley some people will sell anything to make money . I never saw the add on the grey . Was it the same trader ??? If not whom was it ?? Do you know ???

i would be EMBARASSED to try to sell a horse in that condition.

Now that REALLY pisses me off

Not a very good advertisement for Irish imports. The Grey was also from Ireland. Some fantastic horses do come from Ireland but why is there a sudden influx of poor ones? I see them all the time around my home also. Why don't they feed them up and sell them? I would be worried about an underlying problem and it would put me off as a buyer.

He is being kept an eye on. He was advertiseing as a private seller. I asked the magazine how many he sells and he is a dealer. He has to sell in future as a dealer, people can get their money back from dealers more easily - well supposed to!

It makes me really cross to see that phrase, "Only for sale as overstocked"! To me that marks out a dealer to avoid at all costs. How did they become overstocked then? Do horses keep wandering up to their yards and putting themselves in their fields and barns? I think not.

I hate ads that are for one horse and then go on to say 'oh and we've got this one' and 'if you don't fancy the one in the photo we've got another one lying around somewhere'.....I'd never ever go to see someone like that.

recently imported from ireland followed by silly prices as over stocked as stables are full. Oh that was good forward thinking then. He is a dealer so why excuse himself by saying they are for sale because they are full? It is quiet common to see underweight horses that have come through the auctions.

Two things:
Why are these dealers nearly always from Essex?

Also, am I being cynical in thinking that they sell using the sympathy of kind hearted people. A kind person will see a poor looking horse that is cheap and buy it as they feel sorry for the horse, what they end up with goodness only knows, but the dealer doesn't care, as he / she has shifted stock, end of story.

With the horse market currently over stocked, could this be a nasty sales technique raising its ugly head?
