We had the vet out yesterday for a horse I was sharing after he recently bronked (sp?) non stop for a on a sponsered ride. When we got back we told the YM and she told us he did not look completley sound and told us to call the vet out which we did.
as we could not be their my instructor was there instead and she phoned my mum telling us he has a collapsed front fetlock, and his other front leg is too high so it has a lack of oxygen and it could possibly have arthiritus (sp?) he also has a wonky back and hindquaters. When the vet preformed the flexion test on his left side he almost sat down because he was in so much pain. He is lame on three of his legs
He also found a cyst on his sheath. (not quite shure what it is)
This horse is only 7 and not done very much work so he is very green and the vet thought he might have been in an accident.
He can't be ridden for a month and after a month he must be pessoaed (sp?) really tightly. As he is not my horse the owners make the decision and we don't know wether they will turn him away for a year or do what the vet says.
I feel really bad now because he was in so much pain and I was riding him
