Poor Millie

We took the dogs to the yard today to go and play with YO's dog, as she had to have her other one put to sleep a couple of weeks ago. They were having a great time charging around her big garden, while we were doing the horses. My OH was keeping them entertained with a mini rugby ball. Millie went chasing after the ball, it bounced off to one side and Millie went face first into their bird table.

There was blood every where and one upset dog. We rushed her to the vets. She has damaged the front of her mouth and a big hole in her tongue and has smashed most the teeth down one side of her face, bless her. Thye did pull out one tooth, but decided she needs more treatment. So she is full of pain killers and back to the vets tomorrow to be operated on to take quite a lot of teeth out bless her.

She has just got back from the vets. She is not a happy dog bless. She has had two more molars out, some canines and some roots frm other teeth as well bless her. She is on lots of pain killers and can only have soup for a few days then build her up slowly on to more solid food. Have managed to get her to sleep so she is crashed out on the couch next to me fast asleep.

Gizmo our Jack Russel has gone for a boys weekend with the YO Dachund so that they can both cause mayhem and Millie can have lots of TLC and peace and quite.

Thanks everyone. She went out for a quick wee in the park last night, OH said she was very nervous, jumped when a car went past and hideing from everone bless her. She had her soup last night and was obviously very sore and had it very carefully. This morning her face lit up and she wolfed it down. So at least she it a little bit better.

She's definately a bit better thanks. She was eyeing up the space on the couch next to me, as soon as OH got up she nicked his seat, which is typical Millie!! I could see in her mouth today when she was panting. Only has one tooth left at the front in the bottom, no bottom canines. And a big hole where the 2 molars were. Still got the hole in her tongue. Will be a couple more days before we start putting her on very soft food.
