Cannot believe someone would do this.

I watched the video...but only just. It made me feel sick.

I work within Criminal Law and frankly, I think the Magistrates have been too lenient here. The costs should have been more - compensation for Poppy to go to the centre who are rehabilitating and rehoming her, and he should have a ban for life as well as a custodial sentence. Short sharp shock to curb that nasty streak he appears to have.

Poor little girl.
 
i just hope a huge strong male animal lover does the same to him - omg, poor poor dog -
my son lives in manchester - im not violent but id be so proud if my son was the one to give him a good, scarey, longlasting beating and chuck him down some stairs - hell, i would help!
 
I have to stop myself clicking play on these videos now as they just haunt and upset me too much. When will this sort of thing be given the appropriate punishment? If someone can do this to a dog after a bad day, IMO they can do it to a child. Its just not acceptable on any level. It sickens me.
 
I'm at the Uni of Manchester and am appalled I have to be at the same place of education as this guy. It wont do much but i've posted this story and video as my facebook status and asked that anyone else who doesn't want this guy to be educated alongside us write to the uni appealing for his expulsion. Hopefully if they get at least a few letters, they'll consider a harsher punishment.
 
good for you pony but do you know what upset me most wasnt the thrashing kickin or beating ( which was beyond believe and horrific) but the way little poopy's eyes followed him around - poor poor little mite - new year new home and new happy life for a sweet little pup poppy :)
 
Just watched The Wright Stuff on TV (trying to let the ground defrost before walking the dog:eek:) Nihal (sp) brought this case up and showed a big article in a daily paper - maybe The Mail -good for him, everyone was rightly disgusted, let's hope the Tunisian Embassy takes note:mad:

Read it but certainly can't watch it, the thought of it makes me feel sick and brings a lump in my throat.

Disgusting, any man like that should not be allowed near any animals or any children, obviously he can't control himself and needs some serious help.

I can't even put into words how people like that make me feel. :mad:
 
and we welcome this scum into our country and universities. I assume he wont be paying the 9k tuition fees. And well done again RSPCA, lets not go for a custodial sentence - why not? What laws do we actually have in this country to protect these animals?

I think it would be a good idea for forum members to write to the university, to the embassy and to our government. I know our legal system is pretty useless at times, but this really seems to be a case of being let off because of being a diplomat's son. I'm glad his name and place of study was published - hopefully he'll get what he deserves: someone kicking him down the stairs and standing on his neck...

Good for you, if the courts won't sort him embarrass him like crazy and let everyone know he's brought disgrace on the uni and hopefully they'll chuck him out.

Ditto, a few well built lads, a dark alley and no witnesses.
 
Very sad to see this and hope the young dog finds a loving good owner. Sadly, I have seen this sort of cruelty much closer to home - my mothers neighbour, the landlords son has done similar attacts on his pack and has also allowed a young boy to do the same to one of his terrier pups. His dogs come, and they go. I can only imagine why. And, yes, the RSPCA know all about it. He still has about 10 dogs mind. Its wrong.
 
I can't watch these videos either. I look at my two dogs currently laid flat out in front of the fire and wonder to myself why all animals cannot be treated like they are. It makes me so sad.
 
I didn't watch the footage, I don't need to the description was more than enough. It's disgusting that harsher sentences aren't dished out in these cases. To me that is on a par with beating up a child, it's a defenceless creature who (sadly) trusted that man.

I think at the very least the guy should get kicked out of uni so good on whoever that was who's at manchester uni and has posted it on their FB page. Let's hope enough people see it and know who he is!!!
 
He claims to be training the dog... To do what? She sat calmly and patiently while he walked away stayed put didn't move a muscle. Wish my dogs were as well behaved.

This should be a ban on keeping animals.
 
I am appalled and would love to meet the t0$$er and give him a taste of his own medicine - but in the uk we do have a very different view on animals.... when i worked abroad in Turkey i was appalled at the treatment two of our guard dogs received....out there they are beaten so they attack anyone they dont know and are often left tethered in 130 degree heat with no shelter, no water and have only a beating to look forward too if they are not just "left" to die - one of the hotels i stayed at had over 20 kennals - the dog keeper was sacked - the dogs died on the chain. After a particullary brutal beating of one of the dogs - his leg was broken i screamed blue murder back to the chairman - refused to continue to work in this "barbarian" country unless things changed... they did fortunatly for the dogs and me... but i was spat at on many an occassion by the guards.. and i dread to think what resumed when i returned to the uk - the general manager was given an "off the record" talking to by me... and whilst i worked for the company i had a video of the dogs sent to me each week.

i could not watch the fottage either. how long before he snaps and does this to a person, or child. sick. and makes me more sick that our country has allowed him not to be punished. If this were a huntsman and a fox i bet the verdict would have been very different.
 
I cannot believe he's been let off, which let's face it, is basically what has happened. He's lucky I'm not near Manchester to be fair - I would certainly like to teach him a lesson or two and am not an angry person at all!!

People like him just make me seethe (sp?)!!!

Well done for writing to the uni, and yes, whoever said it, is completely right in saying that if he was a huntsman the outcome would be completely different!!

I don't know if I 'mis-read' the video but it looked to me like the sod stopped and stroked the poor puppy just before kicking it down the stairs?

I hope she finds a loving home, if I had any more space I'd take her in but already have 9...
 
Words cant describe... Poor little pup. I hope Poppy can be rehabilitated and wont be affected by her bad experience. That was just one time caught on camera, i hate to think what she may have suffered behind closed doors.

My friend's dog used to get beaten as a pup everytime he did a wee on the carpet instead of being toilet trained properly before being rehomed. Poor dog now hides behind the curtains if he has a mishap.
 
I wonder how hard it would be to find this guy and see how he likes the stairs ?

It broke my heart that video because at the beginning she wags her tail, and lies down in sign of subbmission.

It reminds me of an abuse case that came into the vets where a little puppy (5 weeks) had a severly broken leg yet she still wagged her tail and tried to come up to me when I walked past the cage
 
Would like to spend an hour in a room with that T**T and see how he likes being smacked around and kicked around.

Trouble is I don't think I would stop at 20 beatings!!!

Hope someone on the streets gives him a good seeing to in the future. I would happily do it
 
I sent an email to Manchester University regarding this incident, and encourage everyone to do the same. Here is the reply I received this morning:


Dear ______,

The University was unaware of this matter until last week and we are
absolutely shocked by the case. We are going to meet with Mr Abou-Sabaa
as a matter of urgency to discuss the seriousness of his actions.

This is dreadful behaviour, but I doubt if he will be turned off the course :( Overseas students bring in a lot of revenue for uni's and I doubt if their moral scruples will be able to overcome their avarice.
