Poor Rhu :(

Rhu is very poorly atm and is at the vets

I woke up last night (thank god) and when I was lying awake in bed I heard a very odd noise coming from downstairs. Got up, and noticed it was coming from the kitchen.

Rhu was lying flat out on the floor, struggling to breath, (the noise was him heaving as he tried to breath) with coloured mucus coming from his nose.

He recovered, and I took him upstairs with me while I phoned the vet at 4am. He curled up in a ball on my bed with me and was shaking.

I was so scared in case he stopped breathing (his breathing was so labored) and I would lose him.

I went through the motions, checking his gums, pressure testing and that was fine, his heartrate was normal, just his breathing was increased. (no surprise there)

He's at the vet now, and we think he has a bad respiratory infection with fluid on his lungs.

Poor Rhu, that must have been so frightening. Hope they can find the problem at the vets and soon get him back to normal.

Poor Rhu.. I had scare few months ago with my just year old Jack russell , He was very ill and had all the test u name, bloods, scans, xrays etc, they found he had Bacterial infection on his heart/lungs. 10 days on antibios he was right as rain...

Sorry for not posting sooner.

He is on antibiotics for a respiratory infection and is currently curled up at my feet. He is quite lethargic and quiet which is strange to see for a puppy but fingers crossed he is on the mend soon!

Glad he is on the mend, was off yesterday but couldn't wait until the boss went out so I could have a little serch to see how Rhu was..............Bless him he is so lovely.......
