Poor Ted...

Ted has swelling and heat all around his back leg from his hock down to his fetlock had it 3 days now - no idea what it is, only explanation I can think of is a kick as he is at a newish livery yard (been there 3 weeks)..thing is there isnt any evidence eg would, gash or anything on there apart from a very old little nick....any ideas what this could be? he has been in 3 days now as he is slightly lame on it too - not terribly hopping but there is a nod there...I have been cold hosing and he has magnetic boots on and have given him herbal bute (global herbs alphabute)...any ideas guys?

Poor Ted, sounds as if you have been doing a wonderful job. I think the vet would be the next step! x

hmm I know but really want to avoid that at this stage...skint at mo...obviously will get vet if he does desperately need but if its something silly then I'm going to feel stupid!
