Had to take her out to the stables with me and was such a beautiful day, a lovely 17C so I tacked up the pony and took my daughter out for a 40 min stroll through the woods, that's good medicine........ right;)

Excuses, excuses lol. As they have to stay off school for 48 hours after vomiting, on the second day I took mine for a ride & then to the vets for the cats booster a few weeks ago. If we both have to miss school & work might as well make the most of it!

Absolutely!!! Not sure thats what the truancy officer would say though!!:rolleyes:

Mine bust her ribs on Wednesday after getting booted :( so had Thursday off to go to the hospital & Friday because she was so sore........she then decided she still wanted to go jumping on Saturday so just had to get on on Friday to see how she was!!

Felt fine so dosed up with painkillers & a deep heat patch, went jumping & got 2 double clears & a 3rd place :D

It made her feel surprisingly better so she's back at school today :D

BRILLIANT! big congrats to her!

my 8 yr old is off school today after being awake most of the night coughing, were about to head up to the yard for her to ride her pony- sunshine and fresh air is good for them- right?! lol:)

Oh definitely! Sadly for us the school head master lives right on the same lane as our horses! (we can still go the other way through a farm but not in winter!)
My daughter was off school "ill" recently when someone called me and offered my horse a place on their lorry to go xc schooling...........we took her pony and she was better in no time ;-)
