Took Summer to the yard Tuesday evening, she did zoomies then went into a grassy area on our walk around the field and came back out of the area limping. No yelp or anything.
We gave her half a paracetamol on arriving home and let her settle for the night.
Wednesday lunch time she's lifting her paw to walk, not totally non weight bearing but 80% of the time carrying it and when putting weight on it and is keeping it out to the side when she does.
So we rang for a vets appointment but the earliest they could fit us in was today which was an emergency appointment. We've had a good look and palpated the leg and foot, I've managed to get the nail scissors out and clipped around the pads but can't see anything but she's sensitive around the toes.
Vet says she thinks it's a thorn in between her pads although her toe is swollen but can't find anything but going to give her Synulox antibiotic tablets in case of infection and some metacam.
Similiar thing happened in January and we never found out what that was either.
She has a lump under her arm pit on that side but the vet is certain it's a harmless fatty lump. She had one biopsied years ago and that was of no significance either.
She's lost 2.2kg recently so the vet is pleased with her weight.
Do £205 later and we still don't know what's wrong.
