poorly horse after care?

hiya, on sunday my horse was a bit off colour he hadnt eaten his hay over night n didnt eat his breakfast and was really quiet which is odd, we were due to go to a dressage comp so plaited him up and gave him a wash thinking he'd perk up, the night b4 had been really windy and the hunt had been around in the morning so thought he might have been tired, we hooked up the trailer n normally hed be pooing everywhere and spinning round he wasnt, still thinking maybe hes tired we'll take him and see if he perks up his temperature was normal etc, the dressage was literally 5mins down the road when we got there he did go nicely and seem ok but still a bit lethargic, when we got bk home it was a different story he stood at the bk of the stable head down not interested in us or food or anything i felt So guilty for taking him but honestly thought he was jst a bit grumpy!
he kept lying down n getting up but had been weeing and pooing thru the day, so we got the vet out he diagnosed mild colic/tummy ache gave him a pain killer and the jab and i gave him a slice of hayledge which he wolfed down almost immediately seemed fine again...
however since sunday he seems to still be a bit quiet ive only ridden him once n he seemed ok and bouncy but not quite himself yet is this normal for after colic? should i do anything or give him anything? he also seems to be drinking more than normal in the morning his buckets empty i fill it n he drinks half str8 off but has been in alot cos of weather so more hay? i dunno maybe im being paranoid!
any ideas or suggestions appreciated

He might take a couple of days to come totally right, so keep monitoring him for now and if you're not happy tomorrow I'd get him check before the weekend.

If it was my horse and he'd had a mild colic that improved after (probably) buscopan but started showing the SAME symptoms after the buscopan had worn off, I wouldn't hesitate. Get the vet out again as an emergency. It sounds to me as if the original cause of the first bout of colic hasn't cleared. There is a danger that it could get worse very rapidly. Act fast.
