Vet rang and hes coming round well, but bad news it that its either a tumour or inflamation from an infection we never knew about. Theyve done a biopsy and we'll get the results in a week.
He's got to stay in tonight and hopefully he'll come home tomorrow. Im going straight to see him after work (via home to pick up his teddy!) I just want to be with him and give him a great big, but gentle, cuddle.

Please try not to panic, it sounds very similar to what my dog went through - what they thought was a tumour was actually a growth, basically a big ball of tissue which accumulated from recurring infections that like you say, we did not know about - fingers crossed it is something similar. The tissue was broken up with a month-long blast of anti-biotics.

Fingers crossed that it is the less serious of the two options, try not to panic, there is nothing you can do this week that will alter the test results, either way x
