Its time to celebrate, why?
Because I've actually found a saddle to fit sh*tbag, *three cheers*....hip hip hurrrrrrray!
Yes my cut & shut horse as I like to call him (shoulders like a bull, short straight back) basically front end like an elelphant and the rest of him is like a mule *grins* has a saddle that fits him, that I'm (baring in mind I'm a fuss pot) really happy with.
Thanks to my OH (I damanded a £1000 out of him this morning) I was able trail to over a very good saddler who has more saddles than you can shake a stick at, armed with my template, past saddle fitting info etc, bored the poor saddler to death with my abnoral shaped horse, describing what I want, what I don't want, what doesnt fit, what the tree has to be like, yada yada by this time I was getting some puzzled looks, a lot ''hmmm arrr yeah, right, hmmmmm, I see,'' then he had a good old rummage around pulled out three saddles and told me to give them a try.
And the scary thing is, all three fitted pretty much very well, but settled one that gave me a bit knee support, so I'm now the proud owner of a nice brown (yuk) yeah brown! IDEAL saddle.
Brown doesnt suit him but who cares what colour it is if it fits...well for the time being.
Only problem now is, I need brown girth oh and a bridle to match!
Sorry rather a boring post but its such a relief to actually find something that fits him correctly.
I shall be celebrating with a bottle of wine this evening when I get home, thats the good news, that bad news is I'll owing the OH sexual favours for the next couple of months until I've paid him back, well half of it!
