hi last few weeks i have noticed like a popping\clicking noise coming from my 10mnth olds stifels. is this normal for growing horse he isnt lame doesnt seem in any pain

My 3 yr old does this too. i was told by my daughter's instructor that it is normal. I did ring the vet and ask but they would not comment without looking at him, which I did not persue.

thankyou for your reply. he isnt in any pain and doest notice it himself. i was guessing that because he is still growing it would be normal. i will speak to my vet on her next visit as i dont feel its anything alarming. he has quite nice movements for a cob lol. tends to be pit clumsy at times with tripping but usualy because hes not looking were hes going his heads high in the air having good look over the bushs

Yes, normal. He will go through this phase and become silent again!!

brill thankyou. obviously i will still keep an eye on his joints. what is it that is popping is it his joint or tendons ligement muscles.

Hi my nearly 10 month old makes similar noises when i pick up his back feet. Again it doesnt bother him and he is sound and all that but i wondered too what it was.

it sound awful it goes right through me when im walking him to his field as its in both hips
