tbh my horse has sh*t skin, she does suffer from sweet itch. I brush her every day and i only use sprays on her tail (no mane hogged) but her skin is all ways danduffy. She is fed alfa alfa lite, fibre cubes, glog of mollasses, garlic and 5 carrots atm ... what can i do ?

Garlic is apparently bad for horses with sweet itch as sweet itch is an over active immune system and garlic boost the immune system further.
A woman at our yard feeds her horse with sweet itch, black sunflower seeds, nettle tea and ale to help its coat. She is trying to get hold of the left over grain from the fermenting processes from some brewers, apparently that is good.
You could also try oil or baileys outshine (have no experiance of this, just a suggestion!).
There are some tips in the stable yard bit!

Have you tried her on a sugar free diet. I used to look after a horse in berks who was permanently itchy, and I swapped him onto a sugar free diet and he did improve drastically.

These horses that I were looking after were all fully clipped and worked hard and washed off every day. I swapped this particular horses washing from medicated horse shampoo to Head and Shoulders and this got rid of nearly all his flakes and he was much less itchy all over.

While complete washing off obviously isn't ideal for most normal people.... (!!) but I did find when I had a horse with sweet itch i would wash his mane and tail with head and shoulders and it did seem to help him a lot.
