Hi, Does anyone on here regularly go to Port Royal equestrian centre for the bs shows? I want to go but last time I went a couple of years ago now, it was so busy I was there all day just for 1 class. Is is still as busy? I have seen that they do bs on Thursdays, are these quieter than weekends? Thanks in advance.

I go regularly but for the juniors. They run a fair few senior shows after the juniors on the same day so I can't see them being mega busy or they would be at it all night! xx

Hi :) we go to port royal I think it really depends on wether or not there running qualifiers, but it has been quiet the last few times we have been and I'n my opinion it is allways well run so that does help :) xx

Thanks for replies, I will go and give it a go when i can afford to re register with bs. I have to go to shows on my own so hate it when its really busy and have to hang around for hours. Determined won't let it put me off so much this year. Its very easy to decide not to bother at last minute when there is no pressure to go.

i really like port royal but its a trek for me so don't go very often. they do a frequent user/loyalty card scheme (i think) along the lines of get 10th class free when you have done 9 classes and also they have some 2 day shows and to stable over its really cheap- not been myself but friend has and said they are really good value....

Yea they've just started doing that & its a great help! The loyalty card is 15 entries get 1 free (just filled mine up!!)

I would advise to take your own food though if you're there for the day as its pricey for what you get.

Is it far for you op? maybe you could go & watch a day before you go to compete, to get the lay of the land so to speak & get an idea of entry sizes & course designs?

Tina xx
