Hi all, I see BBs has abley held fort on my progress over the last two days!

I don't really have much to add, especially as I don't know Liberty's result yet! Was a fantastic venue, but the ground on the xc was a little hard. Very few withdrawels though, and excellent spectator numbers.

William gave me an excellent xc ride, really easy the whole way, a different story from his antics at Charlton Park last year! He stayed straight and equal into my hands, and locked on to every fence.

Liberty was marked harshly I felt for 33.8 today, he did a much better test than 10 days ago when he got a 31, but overall the marking wasn't that high (btw, I saw Lucinda F yesterday warming up on Prada, that got a 16... and ok, our test wasn't THAT good!). He show-jumped really quite well, and was a bit bolder again xc, although we were a little scruffy and flappy over some, especially the corner near the end! But pleased I tried it, as I didn't have the bottle to try the one at Munstead.

Both go to SoE on the 14th, L in the PN, W in the N.

Well done, both sound very positive and good, glad william was pleased to be back out!!
Almost came down but was given another horse to ride so ran out of time. Was it a nice course?

Course was all shiny and new, unsurprising really! PN was up to height but very straight-forward. Novice was very accuracy-based - 6 accuracy questions, 4 of which were combinations.

again well done, two really good runs i'm sure everyone will agree! Just got to wait how Liberty actually did now!

Thanks all! 1 pen off 1st... PG I would like you to have words with your YO's son please!

I really think William will have to pull his socks up, he can't let Liberty go round always doing better than him, especially if I move L up to Novice at Keysoe, then they'll be in the same classes!

HJ - The plan for L is PN at SoE then Nov at Keysoe, but it might be a good time to sell him as BBs suggested (and which is what I bought him to do!). I need to get him out to a few Newcomers before we go novice, need to get his brain a bit more engaged! Oh, and I spoke to the secretaries before I left and they will post my prize (actually managed to get placed in a PN with prize money for once!).

I have to say it was so dismal being there by myself, thankfully I knew quite a lot of riders there, but you usually just find yourself trotting past each other and saying hello. I find it quite difficult to motivate myself if there's no "support" club there.

Sounds like a good plan - and Keysoe is a nice straightforward Novice, I would run him there then sell, im sure he would do well.

So wish I was going to SOE, oh well!! Just have to concentrate on Hambledon!

Good luck at SOE and Keysoe
