Does anyone know.......when you import your horses from UK to Portugal to keep at your own place...(smallholding, farm, whatever).......is there an obligation to register the horses with some government agency and.....are there any approvals/inspections required of that place (land, premises) where you keep the horses....?

(of course the beasts are already passported, microchipped, vetted prior to importation)

You need to register the land with your local dept. of agriculture but for up to 8 horses there's no inspection required. If you're looking for equestrian property (ready to go!) in central Portugal please let me know :)
