Can safely say that Spring is now officially mine (and with blessing of OH which was a miracle!

) so I'd like a nice name to register her with both Weatherbys and SHB. Would just love your help, pretty please, I know how good you all are at this!

She's by One More Tiger out of Say Your Prayers and is hopefully aimed for eventing so it needs to be short and sharp. I can't use my prefix as I didn't breed her (with SHB but Weatherbys aren't so strict) although it could be tacked on at the end as in - of Maesfen, at Maesfen and so on.

The filly I named by Tiger earlier in the spring although I didn't keep her was called Wildcat to give you some idea. Would like Spring in the name if possible although not essential.

Thanks in advance, be back later!

I'm rubbish at names but just wanted to say how chuffed I am that you've got her, particularly as OH is happy, which always helps.

(Just had a message from M btw, updating me but also offering me the filly foal......)

I like the Tigress suggestion, so how about The Tigress of Maesfen. Please give us lots of updates - I'm sure she'll be a corker.

Ahh, thank you for that comment; will definitely keep you updated. Bless her, she had her second jab tonight, vet came when I had gone to collect the men - I never go out, he was quite bemused with the idea I wasn't here!! - so he helped himself; she was as good as gold, stood like a rock, didn't even need a headcollar on even when he got out the stethoscope to listen to her! I had a long conversation with her this morning and told her she was stopping here, don't think she was that impressed tbh!

Well there's a Bodice Ripper entitled 'The Spring of the Tiger' which is quite promising, and then there's this from Wikipedia

'Dreaming of the Tiger Spring (Simplified Chinese: ...;; Pinyin: ...;páomèngquán) is a spring and scenic, as well as historic, location in southwestern Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China.

The water from the spring itself seeps out from quartzite and is regarded as the third best in China.[1] The water is popular for brewing teas, such as the local specialty, Longjing tea.'

Dreaming of the Tiger Spring is a corking name, but not what you'd call snappy, I suppose. You could call her Dreaming of the Tiger, and know why she was Spring for short!

and this

'A second limitation to the tiger's effectiveness is that its formidable power and strength is good for only two springs, after which the prey is safe. Once a tiger makes a kill, it feasts. A tiger can eat up to 20 percent of its own weight in a single meal.

I quite like 'Two Springs'. It's enigmatic.
