I noticed that my old Thermatex rug now has an obvious hole in it (classy!). I usually use this for traveling in winter, as my horse does get rather chilly in the lorry. I'm happy to keep the holy rug for at home, but am now in the market for a warm, smart travel rug. Any ideas? I'd like it to be wool or heavy fleece, and smart enough to look good at competitions.

Thanks!

mark tood coolex, and they come with a detachable hood too - they are lush! and not as expensive as thermatexs. Ive got a black one for Archie that i keep for travelling and i love it. I think its around £100 for neck bit and the rug.

they are really quite heavy, and its heavier than Archies thermatex snood he has for the stable after riding. He does travel at the moment with a weatherbeata fleece cooler underneath it tho, but if its underneath you cant see it anyways

OMG - you have travelling colours!!!!!!! Archie has a black coolex, black travel boots, a red tail bandage, navy tail guard and a burgandy Anky headcollar and leadrope!!

Grace has a gorgeous new cambridge blue Thermatex with dark blue binding, dark blue Mark Todd travel boots and a new black leather head collar with little bits of bling which are nice and subtle

Hannah has dark blue Thermatex with red piping, am looking for new travel boots but would love navy with red piping to match her rug, and she also has a new bling head collar the same as Grace's

I actually meant to post about the MT boots before, thanking everyone who recommended them as they are about the 3rd pair I have tried and they are indestructible!! She had managed to throw every other pair off whilst travelling so I'm delighted with them.

becki I think John Whitaker do travel boots in Navy with red binding...

Thanks! I'll have a look round for one. My traveling colours are black and silver/lavender, so hopefully I'll be able to find one to match.

Have just ordered a Masta suede fleece show rug in black with silver binding - our colours are black/white or black/silver so

Only £25 too if you want a bargain!

Oh dear. I didn't realise how pretentious that sounded. I don't have travelling colours, I happen to have black and silver travel boots, and I am a bit anal about matching. I do have a burgundy tailguard, bought because it was on sale......I'm not completely sad, promise!
