I had my (imported) Spanish horse IFAT tested for piroplasmosis in July ahead of a planned move to Hong Kong (it hadn't been planned when we bought him!). Unfortunately he tested positive and was therefore unable to go into quarantine so I had to leave him behind :(, this was a year after he had been imported.

My question is, will the antibodies clear out of his system at some point and is it worth ever repeating the test? I am guessing that it could take many years, but if anyone has any idea then I'd love to know!
