Lexi is supposed to be going to Goring on Saturday to have her first attempt at BE Novice (feeling slight5ly sick even thinking about it!).

The problem is that she behaved so badly going for a canter last Saturday that she over-reached and tore off a shoe.

Farrier can't come till this afternoon and she is currently unlevel (not hopping lame, but definitely not right). Fingers crossed she is OK when the shoe goes back on!!

I have been tubbing it morning and night - any other ideas to get her sound by Saturday?

just imagine how you would walk with one trainer on one foot and a high heeled shoe on the other!!! a bit unlevel!

perhaps don't tub too much as may cause foot to become v soft, leading to becoming more sensitive.

fingers crossed you'll be fine!

Oh no, something else to worry about! Hopefully she will be sound this afternoon when the shoe goes back on and I can forget about it (and start worrying about the big jumps).

This happend last year didnt it when you came to teh clinic. She seem to come right very quickly.
I think she will be fine. Fitness wise isnt a problem. I would tho just take her to a surface to ride on for the next few days.

You could get him to put a leather pad on her? that would help any brusing.

Ground at Goring should be excellent this week.

Im thinking of coming over on friday - so will look out for you

Both horses are in saturday sections at Goring (could be a vital extra 24 hours to get Lex sound!!).

Fitness won't be a problem - she might be a bit of a handful if she doesn't work all week though!
