If you pay a reputable company to do a job you are not responsible if they dump it somewhere illegally. When I’ve had a plumber in to replace my bathroom it should be factored in his costing getting rid of the old one ..not down to me to check
I believe you are supposed to check the company you use has a valid waste license, as in ask that they show you. If you haven't checked I believe you can be held responsible, should your waste have been dumped.

Thats the theory but it doesn't always end up that way I live in a lane that is notorious for illegal fly tipping and dumping, you would be surprised where some of it comes from.

Alot of stables and barns are full of it only dangerous if disturbed, it may not be the owner of the buildings that dumped it could be the people that removed it but either way the owner is responsible for where it ends up.
Yes, they are indeed, as are some old buildings. In my work, I come across it frequently. & yes, it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the remover is licensed & removing & disposing according to regulations, not dumping it in a lane.

Pretty horrified to see this on the BBC Wiltshire page. As there is a chaff bag amongst it all, it looks as though the scumbag owns a horse.

They think it has come from the Swindon area so if anyone knows of someone having their stables done………..
