possible horse thieves in worthing area

just a warning to people in this area. a mare had her mane plaited in lancing xmas eve. she was stabled, literally within sight of her owners house. who then spent the next night sleeping in their car, and blocked their gate with a vehicle. we're all terrified. take care.

keep an eye for suspicious vehilce etc - mine are all being freezemarked in the new year.

it was a private yard v close to riverside. mine is feeezemarked and also a gelding. from what i've heard they are targeting cob type mares. the easy to sell on for breeding type horses.

Thanks for that. Mine is an elderly expolo pony mare but she lives out with a cob type mare.

hve a look at the facebook group - watching out for horse theives in south of england. they hve posted a pic of a plait that was done by a thief. and there is lots of info.

Please be careful. I know people think its all a myth but I have had a lot of trouble with this and have even been attacked by these guys, so I can safely saythese guys exist.

my friend would not agree its a myth. her mare, the only one on her yard to not be freezemarked, had a distinctive plait in her mane. end of.

Onlysure way to keep your horses is to get them freeze marked. My new cob will be done asap when i get him. All our others are done. Be safe, not sorry.
