Just mulling it over at the moment. We currently have two fields one at 2.5 acres summer grazing and one at 2.25 acres winter which we rotate. Is this enough land for two ponies out 24/7. pony we have is 14.3 HH so thinking maybe a smaller one? What do you think? Is it doable? Just think pony needs a companion even though there are 6 ponies in adjacent field within touching distance that he sees every day.

That is more than enough for two, generally they require around 1 acre per pony, many native types need far less grass than they will get from 1 acre, you have 5 acres so having another will be no problem and your pony will appreciate the company.
