Looks too cheap...ask for her passported name and check on "Racing Post" that she hasn't raced, a lot say they haven't but they have..especially from dealers! Be careful with dealers too, check with people about their rep. Get a 5 stage vetting and you want to be careful she could compeltely change once in work,, especially seeing as she's a TB!!
I persoanlly wouldn't x

i'd be worried about why they hadn't brought her back into work themselves and then asked more for her. i presume dealers try to make the best possible price for a horse. therefore you'd think they'd spend a few weeks having her ridden so they didn't have to sell her so cheaply.

defo 5* vetting, she is very cheap! however, there are also many bargains to be had at the moment. xx

Would be very wary about buying this from a dealer esp bearing in mind that they have an ad asking for horses, which makes you think that they have time and space etc so why are they just selling this one off so cheaply?

Humm thinking about this still...clipcloppop is right dealers..well its a business why wouldn't they keep her and bring her back into work. Especially if they have room and are looking for room.

Thats VERY cheap. Friend of mine bought mare with very similar description, backed at 4 turned away sold before coming back into work from dealer type person down in the west country. Nicely put together mare, passed 5 stage, travelled home no problem (4 hour drive) but alarm bells started to ring when tried to load her and she stood up - repeatedly! Dealer said 'oh she's never done that before' - yeah, right.
Since then she has rebacked her, doing well, but does rear. In fact almost to the point I would call her a confirmed rearer as when put under any kind of pressure, she goes up! She's on the less dangerous end of the scale as doesn't go particularly high under saddle, in hand will go right up tho. Friend is doing an excellent job working through it and does it less and less....but I personally still wouldn't take her on.
SO I'd be very very wary of anything like this. Looking back we think she probably was backed as a four year old, but whoever backed her gave up as soon as she started standing up, and turned her away - so she learnt pretty quickly that it worked! And you won't know with this one til you get her home and start work.
I'd personally now much rather go with something totally unbacked - we did, at same time as friend got her mare, and our 3 year old has been a total pleasure and has now caught up education-wise with friend's mare, despite being 2 years younger.

Depends largely on WHY they are sold form the field! I've sold quite a few from the field, mainly due to lacking motivation to get them back in to work after time off (broodmares) or lacking motivation to break them in (youngsters who were never going to be what I wanted and didn't seem like they would be worth spending the time on). I think as long as dealer is honest about why they are out and not in work then its ok.
