Today when I took my 14year old tb x mare out to ride she walked out of the sheds sound and had a slight puffy leg so i cold hosed that for 10 minutes and walked her out where she was still sound.
Then as she often gets leg filling I said I would take her for a 10 minute road hack to get her moving. Once I tacked her up and walked her to the mounting block she suddenyl starting barely walking with her head cocked to the right and her front legs were criss crossing and she was puttering from behind however when I urged her to walk out she would walk sound then go off again and then be sound.
She had no change the day before she was rode as usual at home same feed, hay etc. She is stabled in a large calving shed with 2 others.
It happened one other time following a hard days hunting so that day I assumed tying up and let her just mooch around the paddock for the afternoon.

However Im not sure what to do as of now?
