wonder if you folks could give your opinions on what you would do, im considering moving yards but having a tough time deciding

my current yard has indoor and outdoor, good hacking, ok stables, grazing is very good which is kind of a bummer as i have a very good doer so he has to be muzzled 24/7 all summer, then in at night over winter (normally about four months) it is a fairly big yard though everyone has their groups

possible new yard only had about 10 horses belonging to 4 owners, quiet, get own 3 acre paddock to do as wish (could make fatty paddock?), can keep out all winter 24/7/365, good hacking and a sand school. this yard works out cheaper by about 600 a year

i have a cob so would be good to keep him out but he is young (5yo) so still want to keep schooling, hopefully doing some fun comps, most people on yard 2 just hack

Second yard sounds great but just check that the school does not flood or freeze easily as then you'll really miss the indoor

Both sound good. With second yard if own paddock meant individual turnout I would be put off. Or if you need like minded people around you for motivation, or do you prefer quiet yards & doing your own thing. Also how important the saving is. Tough choice though!
