Can horses catch this specific strain of coronavirus from infected humans. I know one dog in china has been tested weakly positive. My hay man couldn’t deliver today as his words were “I’m going home sick with the flu” I immediately thought corona. If he were to touch the hay and deliver for example would this effect my horses. I’m really stressed as I’m pretty much out of hay and it’s not sounding possible for us to get a delivery in. I am really starting to see the effects of the virus.

I guess the answer is, maybe?

Horses can can catch types of coronavirus, but I haven't heard of any horse catching covid-19, but i don't know if that means they can't, or if they just haven't been exposed to it.

Normal colds and flu are still rife, so im sure your hay delivery man will be fine and will be back delivering soon.
