(Possibly dumb) Eventing Question

Hi all, this may be a bit dumb but can someone tell me the basic difference between a CCI and CIC class? I've watched eventing for years but never got the difference! lol

CIC is a one day, CCI 3. Although CICs can sometimes be over 2 days too. CCIs tend to be more difficult too, as a general rule

As above. also, CIC is usually run in 1-day format, Dr, Sj, Xc order, often with the first 2 parts (or all 3) on 1 day, whereas CCIs are run Dr, Xc, Sj on different days. CCIs are the old Three Day Events, the distinction was clearer when they were still long-format.
