I came across this during my searching for Lily. This poor boy was advertised as having been stolen a couple of weeks ago, now it seems the owners have him back (if he ever was stolen) and need to get rid of him TODAY by 11.30... oh and they want £350 for him

Not convinced of the cross (not even sure it's legal over here if it's true ) could be a husky/sibe x GSD??

drat bags... trying again:

this really doesn't want to work...

link works everywhere but here...

4th post down or so

They are beautiful dogs and that is one of their downfalls, people buy for looks alone and the macho sounding name.

I see a few advertised in Bristol and is not an area which inspires a lot of confidence, they are specialist dogs and as such should only be owned by people who know what they are doing. As has been said I dont think for one minute there is any wolf in there but are bred to look as though they have.

I have a vague recollection of reading that these were banned by DEFRA???? May well be wrong though.

Owners like this make me SO angry...

I think we have a sense of the level this so called human is operating at with "kepted" and "chicken charkestes, weat free bisuits"

Poor dog. That is a very odd ad. It makes me wonder why it had to be before 11:30am today, and worry about what has happened to the dog if nobody took it. :(

These types of dogs are not for the faint hearted.

He's like a grey version of my Salem:(

You have to ask what on earth these dogs are doing in a home like this, they are a fashion item here that has obviously gone wrong, what are the breeders thinking people that breed this way make me livid, sure they are lovely looking dogs and so well behaved if you listen to the sales pitch, but what do you do when you have sold to those few enthusiast homes that know how to handle dogs like this?????
The problem is that they are obviously just breeding them to sell for profit in this case as who in their right mind offloads a puppy that is going to grow into a big difficult to handle dog to a bunch of mindless idiots!
Wolves are not domestic dogs, they may share DNA but modern breeds are now very far removed from them and there is a reason for that!!! Breeding a wolf back into modern dogs serves what purpose exactly other than to look pretty or more to the point to say oh I have a WOLFDOG (mines bigger than yours!!!). They are not used for anything and are the very worst dogs for novice owners, the selling of non pedigree Huskys is bad enough, but these WHY oh WHY, leave the wolf where it belongs, in the wild!

Once these sort of things become fashionable god help the poor dogs and people should think very carefully before doing this sort of thing, It failed in the sarloo, re introducing the wild failed to make them a police dog! Wolves are naturally shy, they avoid us for a reason but cross them and you take that healthy respect away but not the instinct!

There are loads of established breeds around to choose from where at least you have some idea of health, train-ability and temperament based on years of experience so why oh why hybridise and sell unknown quantities, improve what you have by all means but don't add to the misery of these poor individual dogs! It makes me so angry when people do not think ahead!

I've been trying to find out what's happened to him as his "deadline" has passed, the advertiser doesn't seem to have responded to enquiries that have been made, although the ad is still up :(

they were orginally bred in 1955 as an experiment to create a tough pack dog that was trainable by crossing carpathian wolves with GSD, i own a czech wolfdog and he definately has wolf in him

they arent banned, anything less than an F3 cross needs to be registered and have relevant paperwork, anything further down the lineage than that requires no registration
