And the one that makes me feel I am getting slightly obsessed with my mare's health. In my post about Pink Powder, gingerbird mentioned that when she put her pony onto PP, it changed her poo from sloppy into "neat round balls".

When i poo-pick, i can tell the difference between Ella's poo, and her fieldmate's poo. Ella's poo is a pile of little oval balls, while her fieldmate's poos are more like cowpats - very unformed and sloppy. Should i be content that Ella's digestive system is working as it should, or do all horses produce markedly different poos?

(Jeni, if you read this, i am not mad, honestly).

I can tell the difference between my 2 horses poo in the field, not consitancy but quantity, Franks are huge though in total he often poos less! Callys are more dainty lady-like poos but am sure she does more of them

I can tell the difference between my mares poos and the other horse in the field, mainly though quanitity. My mare seems to do lots of little poos.

All horses poo is different, they all process their food in different ways. I can spot any of my horses poos a mile away!

My pony's digestion has never been fabulous possibly due to the worm damage suffered as a youngster, so she is an example of we knew there was a specific problem and know how to fix it!

She could produce the most vile cow pat large enough to comeout of something twice the size, where as my old TB would do the neatest little 'pony poos' ever!

I would be content if I were you that Ella's poos indicate that everything is working just fine!!!!!

tbh- i think its like people all poo is different!!! if they have eaten from a different part of the field or drunk more or less its all relevant!!!

It sounds like Ella's digestion is now working very well! I would be more concerned about her fieldmates, either they are eating too much rich food or have some digestive upset.
