Which to use for both perimetre and paddock division fencing? Will have a strand of electric rope running along the top of fence either way but we have almost 3000 metres of fencing to put in so will be interested in the most economical in both labour time and financial.

Opinions please?

Have to ask, what is Lincolnshire fencing, we don't have that one our way?!

OH always says make sure your boundary fencing is as secure as you can make it before you do anything else. If you can have straight runs they are much easier - so quicker and therefore cheaper - to erect. Do double check where you want gates in each run and correspond them to water tanks, you can never have too many water tanks or gates as long as they're in the right place! It will cost more if they have to come back to put gates into a fenceline too which is another important reason to try to get it right the first time.
Another thing is to be sure to find the water pipe and other main services map of where they go across you and mark them so there is no mistakes; it's very time consuming if someone goes through a water pipe or electric cable not to say expensive!
Lucky you to be starting from scratch.

We put in 1500m (x2 so total of 3000m) of fencing. An outer fence of stock wire with 2 strands of barbed wire , then an inner fence of posts with 2 rows of 40mm electric tape, set 1m in (to allow hedge planting and to stop horses getting in the stock wire) and that cost £3,500 inc wooden gates.
You need to find an agricultural fencer rather than an equestrian one to save £££
