thank you to all who have responded to my earlier post about close to giving up-lame horse. further to some suggestions i have carried out some tests in different saddles and bare back.
i have found in a much shorter saddle, and vastly different shape to my current saddle (16.5 inch i think) there is a vast improvement (i.e he's not lame in trot) BUT he develops a different movement where his hind leg crosses over the other one- bit like plaiting i think- any ideas/thoughts???
i have found if i trot him bareback he is just as bad as previous, if not slightly worse!- any ideas/thoughts?
thanks

I'm not usually one for these things, but hare you able to try some different treeless saddles?

Also, cant remember if I replied on your previous thread, but have y tried a Bowen Therapist?

hiya

i've never tried a treeless saddle- dont think i know anyone who owns one. i'll be honest the vets do not think its saddle related but i just wanted to try for my own mind. at the end of the day he still wasnt right but interesting to see he moved differently. i've spent about 1500 quid on mctimmony chiro and physio- is bowen the same as mctimmony?? my chiro didnt rate it.....x
