Just seen this come up on my news feed:
This sort of thing really does my blood pressure no good! Please, do the best thing by your (very) elderly horse if you can't keep it.
I appreciate she states she is willing to pay for feed and is recently bereaved, but surely her friends with common horse sense would sit her down and talk through the options, or offer to make arrangements for her, rather than posting this on facebook!
I understand it is a potentially sensitive post, but it does strike me as someone who would love someone else to absorb the inevitable £££ of euthanasia, in a couple of weeks/months/years.
URGENT can anyone help
My friends Boss recently died, they have sorted out homes all the horses apart from one, Rover. He has been a fantastic horse for the family, winning 13 times and was placing 25 times! He is now 28 yrs old he is very well and still has lots of life left in him. If he wasnt full of life (my friends Bosses wife) would of put him to sleep, but she feels it would be unfair on him, she would be willing to pay for his feed, she was crying on the phone when she thought he would have to be put down but this will be the case if she cant find anyone to offer him a forever home. If anyone ca offer this lovely old boy a home please send me a pm and I will pass on contact details. He is located in Derbyshire at the moment. Thank you
